ChatGPT analytics tools: choose by measurement method
Decide which question you need answered
An answer-monitoring tool can show how a brand performs on a chosen prompt set. A conversation panel can describe sampled user behaviour. Analytics can attribute human sessions and conversions. Server logs can diagnose agent access. These are complementary sources, not interchangeable measurements.
| Need | Useful evidence | Limit to check |
|---|---|---|
| Which buying questions occur? | Observed, permissioned conversation data | Country, platform and demographic coverage |
| Does the brand appear? | Repeated controlled answer captures | Prompt selection and response variance |
| Which pages support the answer? | Captured citations and exposed search metadata | Incomplete logs and uncertain query-to-source linkage |
| Did people visit and convert? | Session analytics and completed outcomes | Missing referrers and attribution assumptions |
| Can an agent access the page? | Verified requests and response status | Fetches are not answer impressions |
Choose the data source before the vendor
Ask for one reproducible export
Before buying an allowance of prompts, ask the vendor to demonstrate one question from input through answer, citation and timestamp. Check whether search strings are observed or generated suggestions. Confirm the visible model and market.
Repeat that question and inspect how the score is calculated. Keep valid answers without brand mentions in the denominator. Ask how the system handles failures, retries, aliases and duplicate brand names.
Keep analytics claims precise
OpenAI agent requests do not directly reveal human exposure. A tool that counts them should label the result as requests. Google's AI-feature traffic is included in Search Console's Web search type, not a complete standalone report across ChatGPT, Gemini and other assistants.
Where Aiso fits
Aiso connects observed conversation research with prompt, citation and competitor analysis. Evaluate the available coverage for your project using the methodology. This article is written by Aiso's founder, so treat the product discussion as a first-party description.
The fan-out and prompt-tracking benchmark contains the separate product-capability comparison. Check current vendor documentation and pricing before purchase; a 2025 plan table is not a reliable current quote.
Make the purchase decision on evidence access
Choose the smallest setup that answers your current decision. A source-correction project needs exact cited URLs. A market-research project needs coverage information and access to the observed question. A conversion project needs a reliable link from human session to completed outcome.
